70th Anniversary Mitzvot Program
Leisure Group Looks for an Infusion of New Leaders
Twenty years of serving the needs of seniors living in our community – that’s the track record of the Hillcrest Jewish Center Leisure Group. Open to members and non-members, the Leisure Group meets every Wednesday in the Prince Room. The Leisure Group is a place to meet friends, both new and old, enjoy socialization, yoga, lunch and create a chevurah. During the course of the year, the Leisure Group reaches between 100 and 125 people. Ably led by Roslyn Gold for all of those twenty years, the Leisure Group has been inclusive, welcoming and supportive.
The Leisure Group now wants to expand its Board to include new members who will help assess the needs of the community, identify and reach out to other similarly minded organizations in the area, plan activities and services and engage in grant writing and fund raising. If you have an interest in the needs of seniors, a willingness to work on their behalf and the ambition to make life better for the senior members of our community, call Roslyn Gold, 718 229 7511, and let her know that you are eager to become part of this on-going chesed project.
