The Ohr Chadash Religious School is a joint venture of Hillcrest Jewish Center, Hollis Hills Bay Side Jewish Center, and Israel Center of Conservative Judaism. Begun in September 2008, the school is proud to announce that in May 2009, it was recognized as a “Framework for Excellence School” by the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism.
The Ohr Chadash Religious School is a transformational religious school set in a warm, welcoming & fun environment with specialized programming from Pre-K through High School integrating classroom and experiential learning for a comprehensive, meaningful and enjoyable Jewish education.
Classroom Learning
A unique curriculum on Sundays from 9am-12:30pm ensure that students get the most out of their Religious Education.
Pre-K /K: Specialized learning for our youngest students
1st – 6th grade: Rotating subjects with additional in-depth learning based on age
7th grade + (Tweens/Teens): Unique program bringing subjects to life with modern debate & engagement

Mitzvah & Special Programs
MITZVAH
Practicing Gemilut Chasidim (Acts of Loving Kindness) is a core Jewish value and is integrated into the Ohr Chadash curriculum for all grades. Each age group works on a Mitzvah Project throughout the year culminating with an onsite event at the end of the school year.
ART & MUSIC
Special art and music programs bring extra excitement, fun and learning to the holidays offering students the opportunity to experience and create cherished keepsakes that can become part of the families traditions.
