Kindershul (Toddlers to Kindergartners)

Each Shabbat, at Kindershul we will sing Shabbat and Holiday songs, learn about each weekly Torah portion, and hear some amazing Jewish stories. We will do all this while having fun and playing great games together, parents and kids! The program is led by Leila Cohen Sabban and meets in the Library.

Minyan Katan (1st – 4th graders)

Minyan Katan is a service designed especially for children in elementary school, consisting of adapted prayer, stories, and games. Snacks are provided. The program is led by Samuel Katzap and Jordan Beloosesky and meets in the Conference room.

Junior congregation: (5th to 7th graders)

HJC Junior Congregation is a fun, interactive service for children in 5th through 7th grades. We play exciting games, participate in thought-provoking discussions and teach prayers on an in-depth level so that our children can prepare to become leaders in the synagogue's main service, as well as in their own Jewish community. The program is led by Jonno Schulman and they meet in the Ferkauf Chapel.

Teen Minyan (8th to 11th graders)

The teens at HJC meet each Shabbat morning around a table to immerse themselves in the weekly Torah portion. In a “Beit Midrash” mode, they study and discuss the ethical dilemmas that appear in each Parasha and their relevance to current issues. The program is led by Rabbi Uri Romano and meets in Rabbi’s Kogan’s office.

All services run from 10:30 to 11:30AM.  Thereafter, they join the congregation in the Mowshowitz Sanctuary to conclude services.

(Youth Services run from September to early June)
